In the north-west coast of Washington State, USA, the oldest of living kostatok it was spotted in the waters of the San Juan Islands. According to specialists, orca, nicknamed Grandma to be about 105 years old, making it the absolute record holder. The average life expectancy of females of these marine mammals is equal to 80 - 90 years, and even if scientists made a mistake (error in the determination of the age can be +/- 12 years), this individual is still a long-lived.
Grandma was seen surrounded by their offspring, and easy to learn it allows a unique form of the dorsal fin. Killer whales caught in 1967 and is going to send to the amusement park, but when they learned her age, then let go again. Since then, scientists have repeatedly noticed Grandma and noted that it is always in excellent health, and, apparently, will live for a long time.
